Recent 2015 winner of the distinguished Eastman Concerto Competition, violinist Jeremy Potts is quickly building acclaim as soloist, orchestral and chamber musician. An avid orchestral musician, Jeremy has displayed high levels of musical leadership, serving as both Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin of the University of Victoria Orchestra, the Eastman Philharmonia and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYOC). He is featured on the Juno-nominated NYOC Tour CD (2009) where he can be heard as Concertmaster in Bernstein's West Side Story. He performed frequently with the Victoria Symphony and Galiano String Ensemble and is a founding member of the Kovich String Quartet.
Jeremy was the recipient of the Johann Strauss Scholarship in 2012, allowing him to participate in the renowned Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg where he studied with Pierre Amoyal. He recently completed a master's degree at the Eastman School of Music with Federico Agostini.
