Grace Sohn
Grace Sohn is a Canadian cellist with a South Korean background. She is now based in Berlin, where she studies at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule fur Musik, in the class of Prof. Troels Svane. Grace was named the first prize winner of the Anton Rubinstein International Competition in Berlin, the International Busan Maru Competition in South Korea, and received second prize and the “Best Interpretation of the Test Piece” prize at the Shean Strings Competition.
Grace has performed with Philharmonia Northwest at Kane Hall, Busan Philharmonic in South Korea, and with the VAM Symphony Orchestra at the Orpheum Theater. Grace has already performed in many countries around Europe, Asia and North America, and she has participated in masterclasses with renowned artists, including Colin Carr, Jens Peter Maintz, Rafael Wallfish and Denis Brott.
