Born in Toronto, Jasmine (Mengjia) Lin has received several prizes from music competitions, including the overall laureate at the 2014 Kocian International Violin Competition, and first prize at the national finals of the 2013 Canadian Music Competition.

Jasmine made her debut with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic, Paradubice, and she has performed in recitals at the Mlada Praha Festival and with various orchestras across Canada. She has also performed alongside Martin Beaver, and in masterclasses taught by renowned artists such as Leila Joseifowicz, Sarah Chang, Vilde Frang, and Victor Danchenko. This past summer, Jasmine had the privilege of attending the Académie musicale de Villecroze master class with Pavel Vernikov, the NAC young Artist Program with Pinchas Zukerman and the Aspen Music Festival as a fellowship student.

Jasmine is currently in her 3rd year at the Juilliard School studying under the tutelage of Masao Kawasaki.
