Violinist Lucy Wang is a founding member of the Viano String Quartet, a major prizewinning ensemble at the 2018 London Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition and the Ninth Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in 2017.
Lucy was featured as a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in past seasons and has performed in CBC Radio's Young Artist Series and NW Focus Live on King FM in Seattle. She has been a prizewinner in numerous solo competitions, including the Isabel Overton Bader Canadian Violin Competition, the Canadian Music Competition, the Shean Competition, the OSM Manulife Competition, and the Seattle Young Artists' Competition. She has collaborated with numerous artists including Emanuel Ax, Robert Chen, Paul Coletti, and Orion Weiss, and has been invited to the Aspen Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and the New York String Orchestra Seminar.
Lucy studies with Martin Beaver at the Colburn Conservatory of Music.
