Canadian violinist Julia Mirzoev is an accomplished young soloist and chamber musician, having appeared on CBC’s 30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30, as well as radio stations across the country. Winner of top prizes at the Klein International String Competition and the OSM Competition, the Golden Violin award and grand prize at the Canadian Music Competition, Julia frequently participates in national and international competitions as a soloist, as well as part of the Myriade Quartet. Noted for her warm tone, grace and fierce attack (California Music Center), Julia has received the chamber music award at the Yale School of Music, as well as the Broadus Erle prize. She has earned her Bachelor of Music at the University of Toronto, her Master of Music at the Yale school of music, her Artist Diploma at the McGill Schulich School of Music, and is excited to be part of the Royal Conservatory’s Rebanks fellowship program this coming fall, in Toronto.
